Poetic Garlands information

The poetic garlands are designed by Hugo Cuevas-Mohr to display the verses of a poem as a hanging decorative piece that inspires and reminds us that poetry is present in our daily lives.

They are hand-made with ivory card stock, interweaving the sequential verses of a poem with doves, swallows and other birds, joined by a strong yet light thread and decorated with wooden beads.

Each garland measures between 1 and 2 meters (5-6 ft), depending on how many verses the poem has or are included. In a few exceptions the designer has used fragments of poems that are too long or omitted stanzas if he has judged it necessary.
